Zipp 28 Hole Hub ZR1 SL Center Lock HG

The ZR1 SL from Zipp is a lightweight hub designed for competition, combining performance and durability. Inspired by its predecessor, the ZR1 hub, the SL version features a lighter hub body and bearing system. This hub is specially designed for our high-end NSW wheels and is now available separately. The ZR1 SL is equipped with steel carbon bearings, with an option for ceramic bearings for even more lightweight performance. The design of the hub offers a quick engagement feel, with 66 engagement points. The six pawls are staggered to operate in two groups of three. Three pawls are always engaged. This way, the power from your legs is rapidly transferred to the wheels. The hub body's design keeps the pawls in place for easy removal and maintenance. The Zipp hubs use J-bend spokes, the most common type of spoke today. These spokes are widely available and easier to replace. The ZR1 hubs are approved for use with light assist electric bikes for road or gravel use, provided the motor torque does not exceed 60 Nm.
