Agile and robust: the hybrid racing crampons Mezzalama, weighing only 395g, are specifically aimed at climbers and skier-mountaineers for whom performance is paramount. Crampons are essential for safety during technical ascents and carrying on steep and icy slopes. At the same time, athletes do not want to carry an extra gram to move even faster and more efficiently. The fully automatic ten-point hybrid crampons Mezzalama are an excellent choice for efficient ascents. They meet ISMF standards and combine the best of both worlds in terms of materials: the front part is made of robust steel, while the rear part is made of lightweight aluminium. This makes the crampons suitable for use in mixed terrain or on rocks while being very lightweight. A practical aspect is that there is no difference between the left and right crampon, no need to think when putting them on. The adaptation to the corresponding sole length (260 to 333mm) is done in a flash, without any tools. The crampons attach easily to ski touring boots. The robust fastening system ensures a firm and reliable grip on ice, wind-packed snow, or frozen cliffs. An anti-snowballing plate placed under the front part prevents the formation of troublesome snow clumps. The Mezzalama crampons are standardly available in a fully automatic version. However, if needed, they can be quickly and easily converted to a semi-automatic version using a front bail. A handy hard case is included for good protection during transport.
