Enhance your motorcycle performance with the brake pedal Rfx Pro FT, designed for professional use and tested to the highest standards.
Flexible tip brake pedal RFX Pro series The Pro series brake pedals RFX are designed and tested for top-level use. The Pro series brake pedals are made from 7075-T6 aluminium and feature a forged OEM-type axle. The smooth finish of the axle helps reduce wear associated with a grooved design. The flexible tips in the Pro series are made from CNC machined aluminium billets and have a spring-loaded rotating tip which, in the event of an impact, like hitting a rut, rotates to reduce damage. The tip also features sharp teeth to aid grip in muddy conditions. The flexible tips of the Pro series also incorporate a stop on the rotating tip, which prevents the tip from rotating past 90 degrees, avoiding damage that can occur if the tip turns under the clutch cover. The Pro series brake pedals also include a brake cable snake, which helps prevent the pedal axle from bending in the event of a collision. Features: Made from high-quality 7075 aluminium. T6 heat treatment to increase tensile strength. Forged axle for better core strength. Smooth axle design to reduce surface wear. CNC machined flexible tip. Rotating action reduces damage from impacts. Mechanical stop on the tip. Incorporated brake snake. Anodised colour to prevent corrosion. Logo laser-etched. Installation instructions: Start by noting the height of the pedal tip in relation to the footpeg. Remove the R-clip or the split pin from the back of the brake bolt located behind the frame. Remove the pivot bolt that holds the pedal to the frame. Detach the return spring from the pedal and let it hang. Rotate the pedal outward to expose the split pin at the back of the pedal's clevis. Remove this split pin and the positioning pin, the rear brake pedal will now come off. Remove the oil seals from the old pedal, clean them and put them back on the new pedal. Clean all parts with a multi-purpose lubricant such as maxima MPPL, ready for reinstallation. Reattach the brake clevis, the stop pin and the split pin. Reattach the return spring. Apply Maxima waterproof grease to the pivot bolt, align the pivot hole and reinsert the bolt. Tighten the pivot bolt to the required torque according to the user manual. Reattach the R-clip/split pin at the back of the pivot bolt. Once the pedal is fixed, adjust the height of the pedal for the correct position and play by loosening the nut above the clevis and turning the plunger bolt inwards or outwards as needed. Now install the brake snake. Japanese models - Remove the nut and washer from the lower engine mount, replace the old washer with the new washer that is attached to the brake snake. KTM models - Remove the new washer that is attached to the brake snake, set it aside as it is not needed on the KTM, loop the cable around the lower engine mount and replace it inside the crimp fitting. Adjust the correct tension on the brake snake, making sure to allow for pedal extension downwards. Crimp the fitting using pliers and cut the excess cable.
