CIBV Cataphract is an advanced protective vest made from original textiles in the PALS/Molle system, designed to carry armour plates, soft ballistic panels, and necessary equipment.

Cataphract provides enhanced protection against shrapnel with multiple pockets for soft armour panels - the expanded front panel secures the lateral torso and abdominal area, while the back panel increases the security of the back. The widened belts overlap these two panels for side torso protection, and an additional collar secures the shoulder and neck area.

The base is sewn from an IRR-treated 500D Cordura laminate with COOLMAX-lined comfort pads, reinforced 3D straps, and threads, as well as ROC buckles. The front is equipped with six rows of laser-cut PALS slots for easy attachment of standalone pouches. Additional Velcro panels and Fastex buckles allow for quick installation of pre-configured flaps.

Reworked belts with ROC closures provide an increased surface for attaching necessary equipment. Integrated pockets hold soft armour panels for shrapnel and low-velocity projectiles. They are also interchangeable with other models made by TG and similar counterparts.

The back part of the vest features numerous PALS slots for attaching backpacks, bags, or additional pouches. A snag-free design does not interfere with the use of backpacks and straps. An emergency grab handle on the top helps in case of an emergency in the field.

Padded shoulder straps with pockets for ballistic panels provide an enlarged contact surface that reduces pressure and increases comfort during prolonged use. The front and back are lined inside with soft 3D mesh for added comfort, better air circulation, and a better fit against the body. They also accept SAPI and ESAPI plates of 250 x 300 as well as similarly shaped counterparts.
