Seac Screen is the dive computer aimed at clarity and ease of reading all data related to the dive profile. The large display shows all the relevant information on a single screen, with legible and distinct characters. The contrast and brightness can be adjusted, as well as the mode (automatic or manual) and the backlight duration (from 2" to 60"). The display measures 4x4.7cm and is protected by a sturdy rubber-coated case. Dial dimensions are 6.7x7cm. The strap is long and designed to attach the Seac Screen even over a dry suit. Total length, from the opposite end of the loop: approximately 36 cm.
The two well-defined front buttons allow for quick and easy use of the Seac Screen, even with very thick gloves.
Seac Screen operates in three modes: Scuba, Gauge, and Free. In Scuba mode, the dive profile is automatically managed according to the Bühlmann ZHL-16C decompression algorithm. It supports managing 1 or 2 mixes (air, nitrox, and other mixes with up to 99% O2), alerting the user at the appropriate time to make the change. There are audible and visual alarms in case of decompression stop violations or if the ascent speed exceeds the maximum allowable depth with the used mixes. In Gauge mode, the Seac Screen computer shows a depth gauge and timer for total autonomy for the most experienced divers. In Free mode, those practicing freediving can display surface and dive time, current depth, and maximum depth reached during the session.
The dive planner of Seac Screen allows you to simulate and plan a dive by displaying the NDL time according to the set depth and other input data (mix, maximum PpO2, caution level for algorithm calculation).
The Logbook stores up to 40 hours of diving in Scuba/Gauge mode or 18 hours in Free mode.
Data and firmware updates can be downloaded via a USB cable, and the free Seac Dive Manager app can be found on the Seac Screen website. It operates with a CR2450 battery, which is not rechargeable. It can be replaced by the user, but it is advised to contact an authorized SEAC dealer to change even the original o-ring of the battery compartment.
Other: maximum depth of 100 meters, calculation times for flying and desaturation prohibitions, maximum altitude alert, selection of fresh or saltwater.
Seac Screen is also available as a Console with a pressure gauge.
