The process of layering our boards follows strict guidelines to achieve more strength with less weight: Air-conditioned lamination rooms to ensure an ideal humidity level for perfect drying (more strength for the same amount of layering). Vacuum lamination with a drain to remove excess resin: the fiberglass needs just the right amount of resin for proper impregnation. The vacuum process allows the resin to penetrate the fiber, with the excess drained away. Too much resin means a heavier board, but more importantly, less strength as the fiberglass becomes brittle.
