The ELI Mini is the smallest racket in the ELI series from Talbot-Torro (from 4 years old). It features a droplet-shaped head that shifts the sweet spot towards the top of the racket's head. This compensates for hand-eye coordination deficits in children. Generally, children react a bit too late and hit with a standard racket outside the sweet spot. The ELI Mini addresses this issue, and despite a late reaction, the shuttle is hit within the sweet spot. Thanks to its shortened handle, the racket (only 53 cm) is easy for little ones to handle, lighter, and avoids contact with the ground. The special learning grip is oval-shaped and can become uncomfortable in the hand if the racket is held incorrectly (known as the frying pan grip). Additionally, all ELI rackets are equipped with an innovative grip concept that shows students the correct finger positioning for forehand and backhand shots (self-control) through coloured markings. The different colours on both sides of the racket also allow the coach or instructor to monitor the grip from the outside (external control).

The robust construction with a tempered steel handle and lightweight aluminium head is about 20 g lighter than a fully steel racket and much more manageable. Weight including string: 95 g, maximum recommended string tension: 7 kg. With the ELI concept specifically designed for children and beginners (Easy Learning Initiative), Talbot-Torro supports the new generation from the start. This concept was developed by Talbot-Torro in collaboration with former national badminton coach Holger Hasse. The ELI concept is an evolution and improvement of the popular BISI series from Talbot-Torro, which has been a reference in school badminton for over a decade. The smooth transition from "ELI Mini" (from 4 years) to "ELI Junior" (from 6 years) and "ELI Teen" (from 8 to 10 years) to "ELI Advanced" (from 10 years) allows for progressive learning tailored to the needs of each age group. In addition to the 4 different rackets, the overall ELI concept also includes the ELI ball. A very robust, high-quality, and durable nylon shuttle with a foam base.
