Ritchey Tire Comp trail drive

In 1984, Tom was the premier to adapt road tire technology to ATV tire design by introducing treadwear analysis, higher TPI and softer rubber compounds. Pioneering what he called Vector Force Analysis, he developed trail-specific tread patterns and technology for ATV tires at point. The result was the premier tire with specific rotation, as well as the first treads specific to front and rear tires.

Drive: the low-durometer, rotation-specific rubber rear tread provides exceptional traction on climbs and pushes the bike forward for better grip and power transfer.

The new mountain bike tires in the Ritchey line are no strangers to VFA; with a wider, reinforced casing to handle more aggressive terrain, the Bite and Drive are the culmination of years of analysis for all mountain riding.
