ESCAPE CARBON LITE TOUR - Telescopic poles Gabel for hiking, ski touring, and mountaineering. The Escape Carbon Lite Tour are hiking, mountaineering, and ski touring poles designed for intensive use, even at more advanced levels. They are aimed at a female audience, which has allowed for even further weight reduction. The Ergo Fit handle, made of soft foam, features the patented T.C.S. (Top Click System) technology for adjusting and removing the strap. The foam on the handle also extends onto the first section of the pole, providing multiple grip points for better control during the trek. The 3 sections that make up the tube are adjustable in height and fixed using the Multi Lock system, which includes the patented T.P.L. (Top Performance Locking) technology and Mono Lock technology. Outside, the Mono Lock secures the sections with a clamp, while inside, the T.P.L. creates a double point of friction. The materials used to make the upper sections are made from Snake Carbon, a special aramid fibre derived from a particular carbon fibre treatment process. Snake Carbon poles are 20% lighter and 18% stronger than regular carbon. The lower section, on the other hand, is made of aluminium. To complete this model, there is the Vario Fit Carbide tip which ensures good grip even on more difficult trails.
