Are dbkillers removable? Altering the dbkiller welds or tamper-proof bolts or removing the mount is illegal for road use and non-compliant with EU guidelines; this is only possible for RACING use on tracks, using the open version on the road is not compliant with public road traffic regulations.
WARNING: this item is approved for noise; the customer must check beforehand if the presence of the original catalytic converter or the GPR catalytic converter is necessary in their country to comply with public road traffic regulations and for the annual inspection.
You can use the kit for the official annual inspection.
Installation recommendations: GPR products are plug and play, but it is still recommended to install the products in a professional workshop; no claims will be accepted in case of incorrect installations.
The specific approval certificate is provided, as well as the installation instructions; each silencer bears the approval code. If any issues arise during installation, it is mandatory to stop and suspend the activity and immediately request information and/or advice from customer service.
Is it limited to 95Db for Tyrol and Switzerland? No, but this limit is only required for local citizens and not for tourists.
No structural modifications to the bike are required for installation to use the product in an approved version. It is recommended to read the instructions in the package or the tutorials available online and on YouTube.
The exhaust has a removable dbkiller (noise limiter) for racing use; removing the dbkiller is not ONLY illegal, but the customer assumes responsibility for using the bike as if on track only, without any bag, flashlight, license plate holder, or other parts that would conflict with the different throttle angle due to conversion to racing version. Abuse of this situation on the road will result in the loss of the product warranty, and any claims will be rejected. From the date of purchase, the right to repair is with return to GPR factory or the nearest official distributor at the customer's expense.
GPR cannot provide a new silencer to replace the one to be repaired; the customer must agree to refit the original exhaust or wait for the standard time for repair.
