The ENTJPN 61 is born within THE ARCHIVE SERIES, the project of Enterprise Japan dedicated to the contemporary reinterpretation of archive shoes. An exercise in research where proportions, materials, and visual codes are reinterpreted through the brand’s DNA.
Inspired by 1960s running shoes, the silhouette is sleek and light, with essential volumes that evoke the aesthetic of classic sportswear. The clean and functional design expresses a sporty attitude, made to last over time and support everyday movement.
The white leather upper with cognac-coloured details highlights the minimalist construction and showcases the dynamic lines of the profile, while the EJ rocket logo lightens up to transform into an essential sign, almost like a Japanese kanji: a graphic trait that brings together movement, identity, and culture into one form. The tongue with the heritage label recalls the imagery of university competitions from the 1960s.
The thin sole, characterised by a deliberately worn effect, introduces time as a projected value: an aesthetic mark that gives identity and authenticity to the sneaker.
ENTJPN 61 pays tribute to the spirit of the 1961 Universiade in Osaka, a symbol of discipline, youthful energy, and a training culture. An essential model that transforms sports heritage into a contemporary, sleek, and timeless form.
