Are db killers removable? Altering the db killer welds or anti-theft screws or removing the fitting is illegal for road use and does not comply with EU regulations; this is only possible for RACING use on tracks. Using the open version on the road does not comply with road traffic regulations.
WARNING: this item is approved for noise, the customer must check in advance if the presence of the original catalyst or GPR catalyst is required in their country to comply with road traffic regulations and to carry out the annual inspection.
You can use the kit for the official annual inspection.
Installation recommendations: GPR products are plug and play, but it is nonetheless recommended to install the products in a professional workshop; no claims will be accepted in case of incorrect installations.
The specific approval certificate is provided, along with the installation instructions; each silencer carries the approval code. In case of issues during installation, it is mandatory to stop and suspend the activity and to seek information and/or advice from customer service immediately.
Is it limited to 95Db for Tyrol and Switzerland? No, but this limit is only required for local citizens, not for tourists.
No structural modification of the bike is required for installation to use the product in an approved version. It is recommended to read the instructions in the package or the tutorials visible on and on youtube.
The exhaust has a removable db killer (noise limiter) for race use; removing the db killer is not ONLY illegal, but the customer assumes the responsibility of using the bike as on the track only, without bags, without flashlight, and without license plate holder or other parts that would conflict with the different gas angle due to the transformation to race version. Misuse of this situation on the road will result in the loss of product warranty and any claim will be rejected. From the date of purchase, with repair rights with return to the GPR factory or the nearest official distributor at the customer's expense.
GPR cannot provide a new silencer in place of the one being repaired; the customer must agree to reinstall the original exhaust or wait the standard time for repair.
