Are db killers removable? Altering the db killer welds or anti-theft screws or removing the attachment is illegal for road use and does not comply with EU regulations; this is only permissible for RACING use on circuits, using the open version on the road does not comply with traffic regulations on the public road network.
WARNING: this item is approved for noise, the customer must check beforehand if the presence of the original catalyst or the GPR catalyst is necessary in their country to comply with traffic regulations on the road network and to carry out the annual inspection.
You can use the kit for the official annual inspection.
Installation recommendations: GPR products are plug and play, but it is still recommended to install the products in a professional workshop; no claims will be accepted in case of incorrect installations.
The specific approval certificate is provided, along with installation instructions; each silencer carries the approval code. In case of problems encountered during installation, it is mandatory to stop and suspend the activity, and to immediately seek information and/or advice from customer service.
Is it limited to 95Db for Tyrol and Switzerland? No, but this limit is only required for local citizens and not for tourists.
No structural modifications to the motorcycle are required for installation in order to use the product in an approved version. It is recommended to read the instructions in the package or the tutorials available on and on YouTube.
The exhaust features a removable db killer (noise limiter) for racing use; removing the db killer is not ONLY illegal, but the customer assumes responsibility for using the motorcycle as on the track only, without luggage, flashlight, license plate holder, or other parts that could conflict with the different gas angle resulting from the transformation to racing version. Abuse of this situation on the road will result in the loss of the product warranty and any claim will be rejected. From the date of purchase, with the right to repair with return to the GPR factory or the nearest official distributor at the customer's expense.
GPR cannot provide a new silencer to replace the one to be repaired; the customer must agree to reassemble the original exhaust or wait the standard time for the repair.
