Mechanism: Quartz Battery
The quartz watch is a watch whose operation is based on a vibration movement under the action of an electrical voltage. This type of watch thus requires the use of quartz crystal. When subjected to an electrical voltage (battery), the oscillation of the quartz crystal plate transmits its vibration frequency to the watch circuit, which then tells the time. The quartz mechanism is extremely precise and requires almost no maintenance apart from replacing the battery (approximately every 2 years).
