Are db killers removable? altering the db killer welds or tamper-proof screws or removing the fastening is illegal for road use and does not comply with EU directives; this is possible only for RACING use on tracks, using the open version on the road does not comply with public road traffic regulations.
WARNING: this item is approved for noise, the customer must check in advance if the presence of the original catalyst or GPR catalyst is required in their country to comply with road traffic regulations and to carry out the annual inspection.
You can use the kit for the official annual inspection.
Installation recommendations: GPR products are plug and play, but it is still recommended to install the products in a professional workshop; no claims will be accepted for improper installations.
The specific approval certificate is provided, along with assembly instructions; each silencer bears the approval code. In case of problems encountered during installation, it is mandatory to stop and suspend the activity, and to immediately ask for information and/or advice from customer service.
Is it limited to 95Db for Tyrol and Switzerland? No, but this limit is only required for local citizens and not for tourists.
No structural modification of the bike is required for installation to use the product in an approved version. It is recommended to read the instructions in the package or the tutorials available online and on YouTube.
The exhaust features a removable db killer (noise limiter) for racing use; removing the db killer is not ONLY illegal, but the customer assumes the responsibility of using the bike as on the track only, without bags, flashlight, and number plate holder, or other parts that might interfere with the different gas angle resulting from the conversion to racing version. Abusing this situation on the road will result in the loss of the product warranty, and any claim will be rejected. From the time of purchase, with the right to repair, with return to GPR factory or the nearest official distributor at the customer’s expense.
GPR cannot provide a new silencer in place of the one to be repaired; the customer must agree to reassemble the original exhaust or wait for the standard time for the repair.
