BRT-058 - Linear headset press kit with guides and Zipnut - designed for the installation of all sizes of headset cups. This kit includes a 3/8 inch (10 mm) Acme threaded press rod for headset installation, a pair of interchangeable quick-release Liner handles, a 3/8 quick-action Zipnut, and a complete set of guides to ensure efficient and precise headset installation. The linear headset press uses the same 29-degree Acme thread design found in high-precision applications like lead screws for CNC machines. This design allows for wider and sturdier thread bases, providing more strength and overall durability. Most importantly, this thread design is much more precise than standard V-threads, delivering exact force at 90 degrees for perfect placement and alignment of bearings. Unlike other bearing press products available that specify a simple bushing or no bearing, each linear press rod features a static nut equipped with a precision ball bearing to ensure smooth and accurate operation, without friction. Finally, the linear quick-release handles work like little transformers where you can combine two short handles for tight spaces, two long handles for more leverage, or long-short handles for control. These 6061 alloy handles snap onto the fixed thrust nut and our unique quick-action Zipnut, for quick and professional results. Use them by hand, or with adjustable wrenches or sockets, or if you prefer to work with Allen keys, this option has also been integrated into the end of each handle.
