Are dbkillers removable? Altering dbkiller welds or tamper-proof screws or removing the fixture is illegal for road use and non-compliant with EU directives; this is only permissible for RACING use on tracks, using the open version on the road does not comply with public road traffic regulations.
WARNING: this item is noise approved; the customer must check in advance whether the presence of the original catalytic converter or the GPR catalytic converter is necessary in their country to comply with public road traffic regulations and for the annual inspection.
You can use the kit for the official annual inspection.
Installation recommendations: GPR products are plug and play, but it is still recommended to install the products in a professional workshop; no claims will be accepted in case of incorrect installations.
The specific approval certificate is provided, as well as installation instructions; each silencer bears the approval code. In case of issues encountered during installation, it is mandatory to stop and suspend the activity and immediately seek information and/or advice from customer service.
Is it limited to 95Db for Tyrol and Switzerland? No, but this limit is only required for local citizens and not for tourists.
No structural modifications to the bike are required for installation to use the product in an approved version. It is recommended to read the instructions in the package or the tutorials visible on and on youtube.
The exhaust has a removable dbkiller (noise limiter) for track use; removing the dbkiller is not ONLY illegal, but the customer assumes responsibility for using the bike as if on track only, without a bag, flashlight, number plate holder, or other parts that might conflict with the different gas angle following the transformation to the racing version. Abuse of this situation on the road will result in the loss of product warranty and any claim will be rejected. Starting from the purchase, with the right to repair with return to the GPR factory or the nearest official distributor at the customer’s expense.
GPR cannot provide a new silencer instead of the one to be repaired; the customer must agree to remount the original exhaust or wait for the standard time for repair.
