Are dbkillers removable? Altering the dbkiller welds or tamper-proof screws or removing the mount is illegal for road use and does not comply with EU directives; this is only possible for RACING use on circuits, using the open version on the road does not comply with public road traffic regulations.
WARNING: this item is approved for noise; the customer must check in advance if the presence of the original catalyst or the GPR catalyst is necessary in their country to comply with public road traffic regulations and for the annual inspection.
You can use the kit for the official annual inspection.
Mounting recommendations: GPR products are plug and play, but it is still recommended to install the products in a professional workshop; no claims will be accepted in case of incorrect installations.
The specific homologation certificate is provided, along with mounting instructions; each silencer carries the homologation code. In case of problems encountered during installation, it is mandatory to stop and suspend activity, and to immediately seek information and/or advice from customer service.
Is it limited to 95Db for Tyrol and Switzerland? No, but this limit is only required for local citizens and not for tourists.
No structural modification of the bike is required for installation to use the product in an approved version. It is recommended to read the instructions in the package or tutorials available on and on YouTube.
The exhaust has a removable dbkiller (noise limiter) for racing use; removing the dbkiller is not ONLY illegal, but the customer assumes responsibility for using the bike as on the track only, without luggage, without flashlight, and without number plate holder or any other parts that would conflict with the altered angle of the throttle due to the conversion to racing version. Abuse of this situation on the road will result in loss of product warranty and any claim will be rejected. From the date of purchase, with the right to repair with return to the GPR factory or the nearest official distributor at the customer's expense.
GPR cannot provide a new silencer in place of the one to be repaired; the customer must agree to reinstall the original exhaust or wait the standard time for the repair.
