But that's not all that the Makra Light Lady GTX mid-height can do. It is designed for mountain enthusiasts who appreciate the benefits of a low model on the ascent but do not want to miss out on the extra stability offered by a mid-height design during descents. By incorporating a 2-zone lacing system with a mechanical lace lock, the upper effortlessly adapts to the demands of the terrain in question. Unlike conventional lacing hooks, this type of mechanical lock does not slip once it is locked in place – it requires manual intervention to be unlocked. This allows for a tighter lacing at the ankle and a more relaxed lacing in the upper part of the shoe, for example, for greater freedom of movement during climbs or climbing. Regarding descents, it is also possible to lock the entire lacing above the ankle, for increased stability. In addition to a flexible and adjustable upper, the Makra Light Lady GTX features a particularly lightweight, well-fitting, and cushioned midsole that provides the stability required for demanding terrains.
