Hiking shoes Makra Pro GTX

The Makra Pro GTX is perfect for demanding alpine hikes involving glacier crossings, as well as for easier summer hikes and rocky trails. This lightweight and robust all-rounder features a waterproof GORE-TEX membrane and durable Perwanger leather. For the lightweight yet particularly stable midsole, we use a combination of PU, TPU, and EVA. The PU at the heel provides perfect cushioning – an integrated TPU traction edge for a secure hold – and EVA at the forefoot for added precision. The Vibram® Makra sole ensures excellent grip. Together, they make a dream team. The ‘Hanwag 2 Zone Lock’ with mechanical lace locking improves the fit around the heel. Unlike traditional lace hooks, the mechanical lock stays in place and won't slip unless adjusted manually. The optimised ghilly lacing is a distinctive feature of the Makra family – it passes through textile loops all the way to the toe area. This ensures a secure fit around the forefoot and good overall stability for a mid-cut model. And the Alpine Wide Last shape allows for more space in the forefoot for added comfort, without sacrificing precision or climbing performance.
