Designed for female climbers with hallux valgus, the Makra Pro Low Bunion Lady GTX from Hanwag combines flexibility and durability for hiking.
Developed especially for female climbers with bunions – the Makra Pro Bunion GTX Low. A flexible and robust approach shoe designed for one of the most common foot problems. Thanks to the HANWAG Bunion Last, it offers extra space around the big toe joint. But what makes a good approach shoe? Versatility is key. The Makra Pro Bunion GTX Low needs to adapt to different terrains, from hard paths to forest trails and scree slopes. Comfort, stability, and flexibility all play an important role here. Its lightweight yet particularly stable midsole is made of PU and EVA. The oversized PU heel design provides excellent cushioning, and the reinforced PU foam wedge at the heel supports an optimal roll-through. The EVA in the forefoot promotes greater precision, and our exclusive Vibram ‘Makra’ sole offers exceptional grip. The optimised ghilly lacing is a distinctive feature of the Makra family – it weaves through textile loops all the way to the toe zone. This ensures a secure fit around the front of the foot and good overall stability for a mid-cut model. Thanks to the waterproof GORE-TEX membrane, this shoe keeps your feet dry in wet weather. The Perwanger leather upper is robust, breathable, and durable. This combination of high-quality materials provides reliable performance.
