The Bluecliff Lady ES focuses on stability and comfort. With its higher upper and robust sole, it is suitable for a wide range of hiking activities, including in lower mountain ranges and for longer hikes. What sets this model apart? Its high-quality upper is made from nubuck leather and suede, which are used at the heel and toe as they are particularly durable. To help keep feet dry, its classic Derby cut has a flap tongue construction. This is further reinforced by the eco-friendly EcoShell membrane without PFC from HANWAG, which is waterproof, breathable, and durable. The membrane is part of a multilayer laminate. For the Bluecliff Lady ES, a four-layer laminate is used, ensuring exceptional breathability and great comfort – something particularly important during longer hikes. The fourth layer is an additional insulation layer, making this boot ideal for hiking in autumn and spring. A standout feature is its Hike Pro outsole. It has a profile that is four millimetres deep and wide lugs with a larger contact area and a particularly grippy rubber compound. Additionally, the special construction of the midsole (3D IPU) ensures a perfect fit and good roll-off. This is made possible by the combination of stabilising and expanded PU, plus a polypropylene stabiliser reinforced with glass fibres. To keep the foot securely in place and ensure good heel support, HANWAG uses high-quality and durable metal eyelets and hooks that do not require rivets, in addition to a 2-zone lacing system with tensioning hooks.
