Photographer Justin Jay has spent 10 winters documenting the people and events at the heart of surf culture. Through a thousand images and dozens of interviews, HI 1K offers a perspective as close as possible for an outsider without having to sneak into the Volcom house or face a nightmare of breaking waves at Sunset.

A limited edition version is available for purchase, including a signed copy of HI 1K and a metallic print of 8" x 10". This image of two-time world champion John John Florence was taken on the day of his second historic victory at the Triple Crown on the North Shore and is featured on the cover of HI 1K.
