Most stabilised binoculars provide a correction angle of 0.5° to 1°, resulting in a correction of 8 to 17 metres at a distance of 100 metres. A hand shake on a windy day or breathlessness after a hike can easily lead to image instability beyond these values.

The KITE APC stabilised binoculars feature new technology that allows the instrument to correct image stability by 3°, or 53 metres at a distance of 100 metres, or 53 metres at 1,000 metres. That's 6 times more than other stabilised binoculars. This allows for perfectly stable images not only from a shaky hand but also when in a car or on a boat.

This very compact and lightweight instrument also has intelligent features. The electronics are powered by two AA batteries, the most common battery size in the world, ensuring the instrument operates for 36 hours. But to avoid losing a second of those 36 hours, the KITE APC binoculars are equipped with sensors that automatically put the device into standby mode when you are not observing. The APC (angle power control) function detects positioning. When the instrument is hanging around your neck or standing upright on a surface, it goes into standby mode. At the first movement, stabilisation resumes. No button switching, no accidental battery drain. A timer function ensures it turns off completely after 90 minutes, regardless of position. A low battery indicator will let you know when new batteries are needed.
