The all-new Irix 30mm f/1.4 lens is based on the 30mm Ciné model, and is therefore aimed at the much more demanding film industry market. The entire structure optical system is identical in both versions, withaccent focusing on image vividness. Of course, the photographic version has a completely different housing, while retaining the optical properties of the cinema version.

OPTICS THAT GUARANTEE SHARP IMAGES

The Irix 30mm F / 1.4 features a modern optical design that includes 3 ultra-low dispersion lenses , 2 high reflectance lenses and an aspherical lens. There are a total of 13 elements in 11 groups, providing nets detail, vivid colors and ultra-low distortion - 0.95%. However, what deserves particular attention is the smooth, "look cinema" image it delivers. The lens is designed to work with 35mm full-frame sensors. Of particular note is the use of a new 11-blade diaphragm with rounded edges, which ensures pleasant, lively background blur. It operates in the f/1.4 to f/16 range.

Irix customers often use their lenses in extremely harsh conditions. The construction of the Irix 30mm f/1.4lens therefore had to meet their needs. Only the best materials were used. Guaranteed operation in all conditions is ensured by a system of seals located at key points on thelens, and by the rear focusing system - thanks to which the point lens does not change dimensions during focusing . These properties not only make it possible to work in difficult conditions, but also guarantee the cleanliness of the mirror chamber and pointsensor of the camera you're using.

Thelens housing is a continuation of the Dragonfly manufacturing standard familiar from previousIrix models (45mm and 150mm). Its most important aspects are:

INTELLIGENT LENS DESIGN

The Irix 30mm f/1.4 lens features a module that controls thelens diaphragm directly from thecamera, making popular semi-automatic modes(PASM) and EXIF data recording available.

The use of electronics also enables the lens to be equipped with a focus confirmation system point - the camera announces the correct focus setting point (as an icon in the viewfinder or with a sound), every time you set the focus correctly point - it's simple and convenient!

ADDITIONAL FEATURES

The Focus Lock function lets you lock the focus ring point in a specific position. This is particularly useful when we want to maintain a specific distance from the subject (zone focusing point ), or when we want to maintain a perfect focus point on infinity during landscape photography.

Focusing ring point - A special point focusing ring with a distinctive shape has become something of a trademark of the Irix 150mm and 45mm lenses. Many of our customers pay attention to the convenience it provides. The latest Irix 30mm follows the same path. A special texture and a well-chosen rubber material covering it enable reliable and precise focusing point. Special embossing lets you feel the position of the ring. This makes setting point even easier!

Focus Lock" function - The "Focus Lock" function is also a feature of Irix lenses - it allows you to lock the focusing ring point in a specific position. This is particularly useful when you want to maintain a specific distance from the object being photographed (zone focusing point ), or when you want to maintain perfect focus point to infinity in landscape photography or astrophotography.

COMPATIBLE WITH FILTERS

The Irix 30mm f/1.4 lens allows you to use both classic screw-on filters (86mm) and square filters, thanks to the Irix Edge IFH-100 and IFH-100-PRO mount.
