The Precision Galaxy riding helmet has been developed to provide even more safety and comfort for the rider, both on horseback and on foot. It complies with the new 2023 standard and is inspired by motorcycle helmets, with techniques that ensure optimal protection and good ventilation.

Composition of your Precision Galaxy Chrome riding helmet

The shell

The outer shell of the helmet, which is thicker, is made from ABS. Its role is to disperse the energy of an impact over the surface of the helmet. When your helmet hits an object, the shell distributes the shock wave by dissipating it. Rigid and lightweight, it is known for its high resistance to scratches.

The inner part

Featuring an innovative new shape and made from EPS (expanded polystyrene), the inner part absorbs the energy emitted by impacts by dispersing it. It then crushes and becomes much denser.

The inside is partly covered with honeycombed blue pads: the ERT (Energy Reduction Technology). This new technique allows for better dispersion of energy from both small and large impacts. Additionally, it has an anti-rotational action. By acting along the shell during a moving impact, the honeycombed pads follow the movements of your head to limit the risk of trauma.

The ventilation

The Precision Galaxy riding helmet has several ventilation holes: 11 holes are present inside the helmet, and 2 vents are located at the front and back of the helmet. This feature provides better air circulation and good thermal regulation. Furthermore, ventilation channels are present below the visor, which also promote better internal ventilation.

The fastening system

Completely redesigned for greater practicality, the helmet's strap is equipped with a magnetic ‘Fidlock’ buckle. This is designed to fasten the helmet with one hand. The riding helmet's strap features a safety ring made of polyamide, ensuring double protection for the rider.

The harness, made of leather and nylon, ensures a good fit of the helmet on the rider's head. Fixed in 3 points that are spaced further apart, it prevents the helmet from shifting during rides.

The inner cap

Made of foams, lycra, and 2D mesh, the inner cap allows you to adjust your riding helmet perfectly. Removable, it can be cleaned regularly. Discover our helmet foam here.

The little extra?

Elastic bands at the back of the helmet allow for decompression at the back of the head, so you can ride with your hair tied up.

The standard visor

The European standard EN1384-2023 requires that the visor flexes when a load is applied to it. This prevents it from breaking and injuring the rider. The visor of Antarès helmets is therefore intentionally flexible. In case of deformation, it can be manually reshaped to return to its original form.

Even if the helmet has not sustained any impacts, we strongly recommend replacing it every 5 years.
