The Precision Reference helmet has been designed to better protect you both on foot and on horseback. Thanks to the work of our Research and Development team, this technical helmet complies with the new 2023 standard. The Reference model, entirely black, offers a sleek and sophisticated look.
Our ambition: to always provide more safety and comfort for the rider.
Inspired by motorcycle helmets, its design incorporates various technical components to optimise its protection level and ventilation.

Composition of your Precision Reference riding helmet
The shell
The outer shell of the helmet, which is thicker, is made of ABS. Its role is to disperse the energy from an impact across the helmet's surface. When your helmet strikes an object, the shell distributes the shock wave by dissipating it. Rigid and lightweight, it is known for its high resistance to scratches.
The liner
Featuring a new innovative shape and made of EPS (expanded polystyrene), the liner absorbs the energy produced by impacts by dispersing it. It thus becomes much denser.
The inside is partly covered with blue honeycombed pads: the ERT (Energy Reduction Technology). This new technology allows for better distribution of energy from both small and large impacts. Additionally, it has an anti-rotational feature. By acting along the shell during a moving impact, the honeycombed pads follow the movements of your head to minimise the risk of trauma.

The ventilation
The Precision Reference riding helmet features a new ventilation system with 11 holes inside the helmet and 2 vents at the front and back. This innovation provides better air circulation and good thermal regulation. Additionally, ventilation channels are located below the visor, further promoting internal ventilation.
The fastening system
Completely redesigned for added practicality, the helmet's attachment is equipped with a magnetic "Fidlock" buckle. This allows for one-handed fastening of the helmet. The attachment of the riding helmet also features a nylon safety ring. It provides double protection for the rider.
The harness made of leather and nylon ensures a secure fit of the helmet on the rider's head. The Y-shape of the fastening system with points further apart, also known as a 3-point fastening, ensures good stability of the helmet on the head. The straps are made from nylon.
The inner lining
The inner lining is made of foam, lycra, and 2D mesh. It allows for a perfect fit of your riding helmet. Removable, it can be regularly cleaned. Find out how to care for your foam here. (link)
The lining is sold with the helmet.
The comfort extra?
The elastics at the back of the helmet allow for decompression behind the head for added comfort. This way, you can ride with your hair tied back.
The standard visor
The European standard EN1384-2023 requires the visor to flex when a load is applied to it. This is to prevent it from breaking and injuring the rider. Therefore, the visors of Antarès helmets are intentionally flexible. In case of deformation, they can be manually reshaped to return to their original form.
The protective bag Antarès is sold with the riding helmet.
