Boots Defender

Made by Rukapol®, the Defender boots are versatile and robust tactical footwear chosen by the “Österreichisches Bundesheer” - the Austrian armed forces. Designed using high-quality materials and components, the Defenders are aimed at providing maximum comfort, durability, and reliability in the field. They are ideal for military and law enforcement agencies, as well as for trekking and outdoor activities.

The boots are made from 2 mm thick Nubuck leather in a range of matte colours with a water-repellent coating. The inner lining, in the form of “Arona Two Layer”, wicks moisture away and releases it outside, keeping the feet dry. This, combined with the water-resistant coating, protects the feet from moisture, even during heavy sweating and rain.

For a versatile tactical boot, the Rukapol® MOUNTgrip has been developed - a custom rubber sole with a polyurethane foam layer. The sole ensures optimal grip, even in the most challenging terrains. The additional PU foam layer enhances shock absorption and comfort in difficult conditions and during prolonged use.

Rukapol® has also paid special attention to developing an advanced insole and footbed support. The insole is preformed with an additional arch stabiliser, perfectly balancing rigidity, stability, and flexibility for optimal foot support. The multi-width system ensures a perfect fit, even for uncommon foot shapes and sizes.
The active sole used easily adapts to the user’s foot, offering optimal comfort, stability, and moisture wicking. The sole itself is easily removable and washable.

The “Easy Roller” lacing system distributes tension evenly along the length of the laces. To further protect the boot from dirt and debris, a protective textile has been added to the tongue area to minimise the chances of foreign objects entering the sole.

To simplify the process of choosing the right size, Rukapol® has prepared a step-by-step guide.
Measuring your foot correctly and selecting the appropriate size requires just an A4 sheet of paper with a printed QR code and a phone camera. The process is straightforward and requires minimal input from the user.
