Personalisation of your Antarès helmet
If you wish, you can change the colours of the strap, headband, and triangle of this model to create a unique helmet. In its classic version, these elements are chrome. It’s up to you to choose your helmet customisation colours according to your preferences!

The shell
The outer shell of the helmet is made of ABS. Its role is to disperse the shock energy across the surface of the helmet. When your helmet hits an object, the shell distributes the shock wave, dissipating it. Rigid and lightweight, it is known for its high scratch resistance.
The inner padding
Made of EPS (expanded polystyrene), it absorbs the energy emitted by the shock by contracting. The inner padding thus becomes much denser. Its density varies according to the sizes of our helmets. To see the consequences of a shock on the inner padding, check out our blog article.
The vents
Its 4 front vents and 2 rear extractors provide good air circulation. Thermal regulation is therefore improved.
The retention system
The harness ensures a good fit of the helmet on the rider's head. It consists of 3 points. The Y shape of the fastening system has points that are further apart, which reduces the rotation of the helmet. The straps are made of nylon, and the buckles are made of POM.
Bonus: the Antarès harnesses are made from leather sourced from offcuts of their bespoke saddles. Stylish and responsible!
The helmet pads
In contact with the rider's head, the high-quality foams allow for a perfect fit of your equestrian helmet and optimal comfort. Whether your head shape is round or oval, they will adapt to your morphology. Removable, these internal pads can be regularly taken out and cleaned to maintain the helmet's cleanliness. Made in Italy, they are breathable, OEKO-TEX® certified, and hand washable in lukewarm water.
The European standard EN1384-2017 requires the visor to bend when a load is applied to prevent it from breaking and injuring the rider. Therefore, the visors of Antarès helmets are intentionally flexible. In case of deformation, it can be manually reshaped to restore its original form.
The Antarès helmet consists of:
- a shell (available in 3 sizes S - M - L)
- a set of "headband" pads (set B) to adjust the shell to the head circumference, determining the size of the helmet.
Available in 4 thicknesses: 4 - 8 - 12 and 16 mm. The back part of the "headband" pad is removable to allow for more room for a ponytail or to tie hair up inside the helmet.
- a set of "top-front" pads (set A) that allows you to adjust the depth of the helmet on the top and front. Available in 2 thicknesses: 4 and 8 mm.
The SET A of pads (which go at the bottom and front of the helmet) is included in the helmet price. The SET B of pads (which go on the sides) must be purchased in addition to the helmet. Both types of pads are absolutely necessary when wearing the helmet. The pads are machine washable at 30 degrees; they should not be tumble dried.
You have a 5-year warranty from the helmet's manufacturing date to request a revision of your helmet.
Note: The Antarès helmets are rounder in shape; if you have a more oval head, we recommend taking a size up.
