Hiking shoes Bluecliff ES

The Bluecliff ES is focused on stability and comfort. With its higher upper and sturdy sole, it is suitable for a wide range of hiking activities, including in lower mountain ranges and during long excursions. What sets this model apart? Its high-quality upper is made from nubuck leather and suede, applied around the heel and toe protection as they are particularly robust. To help keep feet dry, its classic Derby cut features a tongue construction with a fastening strap. This is further supported by the PFC-free EcoShell membrane from HANWAG, which is waterproof, breathable, and durable. The membrane is part of a multilayer laminate. For the Bluecliff ES, a four-layer laminate is used, ensuring excellent breathability and great comfort – which becomes even more important during long hikes. The fourth layer is an additional layer of insulation, making this boot ideal for hiking in the autumn and spring. A special feature is its Hike Pro sole. It has a pattern four millimetres deep and extra-large lugs with a wider contact area and a particularly grippy rubber compound. In addition, the special construction of the midsole (3D IPU) ensures a perfect fit and smooth rolling. This is made possible through the combination of stabilising and expanded PU, as well as a stabiliser made from polypropylen reinforced with fiberglass. To keep the foot firmly in place and ensure good heel support, HANWAG uses high-quality, durable eyelets and metal hooks that do not require rivets, along with a two-zone lacing system with locking hooks.
