Pride Racing is proud to present the FUSION hub, the most advanced hub system in the range, the most refined and efficient to date. The FUSION is the result of years of feedback from riders, real-world testing, and precision engineering. Developed to meet the increasing demands of modern BMX racing, it combines an extremely fast engagement, ultra-low drag, long-term durability, and incredibly low weight. Why the FUSION? With the evolution of frame and drivetrain standards, and with riders demanding faster engagement without compromising the smoothness of freewheels, the development of the FUSION focused on three performance goals: Maximising engagement precision, reducing drivetrain drag, and maintaining a low weight without sacrificing durability.

At the heart of the FUSION hub is a cleverly designed 6-pawl drive system. Each of the six pawls is staggered and operates in groups of 3 that engage simultaneously, evenly distributing the load. The pawls engage every 3° on the 60-tooth ring, creating 180 engagement points. This system allows for quick engagement with reduced stress on individual components as well as better control off the gate and in corners.

One of the main design goals for the FUSION hub was to reduce drag, particularly in high-cadence and low-load scenarios common in BMX racing. For this, the hub is equipped with high-end low-friction bearings, spring tension, and the pawl interface have been optimised to maintain precise engagement without excessive rolling resistance. Despite its durability and precision, the FUSION hub weighs just 290 g ±5 %.

The result is a hub that spins freely and allows you to maintain your speed, which is particularly noticeable during warm-up laps, manuals, or high-speed sections where the smoothness of the freewheel makes a real difference. This makes the FUSION one of the lightest BMX race hub systems available - without resorting to exotic materials or compromising reliability.

To solve one of the most common issues in BMX, the interference between the brake caliper and the spokes, the FUSION rear hub has been precisely optimised for 120 mm rotors with better clearance between the spokes and the caliper, a cleaner disc brake interface, and reduced flex and disc rubbing during braking.
